As a child I always knew I wanted to be a model/actress.
I had NO support from my family.
Actually, my family shattered my dreams. Without any support, I pushed through to follow my dreams.
I had to have the strength to keep pushing forward and I did.
I remember when at about 12 years of age, I was doing a fashion show for a department store.
We wore the clothing that the store promoted and walk around while moms and their friends were having lunch.
I told my family I was the prettiest one there.
My two older sisters came to watch me model.
When we got home, they laughed at me and said that I was the ugliest girl there. They were having a good time laughing.
They shattered my confidence.
Looking back, they were older sisters having a good laugh and teasing me. I, however, took their teasing to heart.
Once out of school, I packed up and moved to Los Angeles with a friend.
I moved into unknown territory.
I knew in my heart that I had to follow my dreams.
I had very little money and I knew I could get a part time job as I was pursuing my dreams.
I did not have any support and I did not let this stop me. I took a chance. I adore children.
I always wanted to have children, but it was not “in the cards”, as they say.
So I chose to photograph children because I feel fulfilled working with them.
Today I have an amazing life.
I am a photographer, I travel and I work with children.
This is a brief background into how my life started off and where I ended up.
Think it, Want it, and Get it!
